D-RATS 0.2.x

About

Version 0.2.x aims to improve on the previous branch by adding a transport layer to multiplex and generalize the connection to the radio. The goal is to provide a session layer that can support multiple data streams, as well as automatic negotiation of specific data types.

Features

Aside from the features present in 0.1.x, the 0.2.x branch adds:

Automatic negotiation of file and form transfers (which allows unattended operation)
Ability to address a transfer to a specific station
Packetized chat traffic with checksum validation to eliminate broken messages
Ability to chat during a file or form transfer
Arbitrary TCP forwarding over the radio channel
Ability to ping a remote station to test connectivity
Retrieval of GPS data from GPSD server
Incoming email-to-form gateway

Planned features for development in the near future are:

Multi-send functionality like v0.1.x
Improved proxy operation to reduce broadcast behavior
